Recordings for the Blind and Dyslexic (RBD) lends textbooks recorded on 4-track tapes (special tape players required) for all academic levels and in most subject areas. Also provides non-profit sale of books recorded on computer disk (E-text) including computer manuals and reference books. There are two options for membership: Individual and Institutional. For individual members there is a one-time $50 application fee and a $25 annual membership fee. Schools and agencies may purchase a level of institutional membership to serve a certain number of students. If a textbook has not been recorded RFB&D will consider recording it upon receipt of two copies of the book. The copies will be returned. Simply complete an application including a certification form signed by a qualified professional as well as $75 to cover application and registration fees and submit via fax or mail.
