Persons of all ages who meet the legal definition of blindness (central visual acuity of 20/200 or less in the better eye with correcting glasses or peripheral field of vision no greater than 20 degrees). Persons must be enrolled in a formally organized public or private nonprofit educational program at a less than college level who will use the materials as part of their educational program (ranging from early intervention programs to programs for senior citizens including those in community-based and residential settings). Students must be enrolled with the registering school or agency on the first Monday in January of the year in which materials will be requested. Adults to be registered must be receiving a minimum of 20 hours of instruction per week in an educational program. | |
