AT for Aging in Place and Dementia

Basic activities of daily living can be difficult and frustrating for persons with disabilities and older adults.  Tools for Life has assistive technology that can keep people independent. Special tools for bathing, grooming and dressing help overcome issues with mobility and fine motor skills.  A hair dryer stand allows persons to dry their hair handsfree.  Magnetic buttons ease the frustration of managing buttons and buttonholes. Long-handled tools can help with bathing, putting on shoes and socks, and reaching for items that are needed.  Independence in simple personal activities allows people to gain confidence, free up their caregiver's time, and enjoy life more.  Tools for Life Aging Specialists are available for consultation to assist in exploring the range of AT available to support aging.
