Work ACCESS and Assistive Software Knowledgebase

When faced with a workplace accommodation problem, would you like to be able to learn how others have solved it? Are you frustrated when you see a “solution” that an employer or employee made on their own that is not working well because it was chosen without adequate information?

Georgia Tech is developing two free online tools designed to help employees with disabilities and their employers find accommodation tools to perform their jobs successfully.

Work ACCESS is an easy-to-use workplace accommodation assessment system that collects information across multiple factors, like tasks and workplace environment, to determine potential solutions.

The Assistive Software Knowledgebase is a new resource developed to help people make informed choices about selecting, acquiring, and using specialized computer software in the workplace.

COVID-19 Resources

The Center for Inclusive Design and Innovation has partnered with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Foundation to initiate a new project focusing on delivering accessible messages of critical health importance of COVID-19 to people with disabilities, their families, and caregivers!

The Tools for Life team is responding to the COVID-19 pandemic by collecting and vetting resources for individuals with disabilities in the community, as well as their family and circles of support. The resources in these webinars are not meant to replace advice or instruction from a doctor or medical team. These resources are here to educate and empower. We encourage you to take this information, do further research, and share what you've learned with your medical and support teams.
