Inclusive Tech Entrepreneurship Program (ITEP)

  • State Board of Education approved the FY22 DOE Statement of Work
    • Contract is in process of development and will have to be signed by both agencies

    • For now, continuing current K-12 deliverables
    • Received two new collaboration requests Friday – both are AAC with access issues

TFL Direct AT Services - AT Access Updates (Martha)

  • Wired Wednesdays- last one of the year! Brando Conrad with Matchware will be our guest speaker on Dec 8th
  • AT Lab- we are continuing to work on this- it is looking great, still need help with a few more items that need to be barcoded and put up, labeling drawers and cabinets, and adding location. Sal is working on a script for the tour.
  • Reading Progress Demo with Microsoft Teams- for educators- super cool way that students and teachers can see progress
  • DeeDee, Rachel, and Martha worked on technical assistance with social worker and family on quality of life and communication

New Professional Development Resource I Recommend!

Rachel's Updates

  • TFL AT Awareness for Dementia & Isolation Update
  • Interactive AT Lab Updated "wish list” to enhance the Aging Well section of AT Lab specifically addressing the needs of people living with Dementia/Alzheimer's. Goals are to have AT for Aging Well easily accessible, labeled, and showcased, then create a video with Raminta to highlight a virtual tour of this area to share with network partners, consumers, and website.
  • DAS Contract
    • Updates: Continuing to stay connected with DAS as we await the extension for the Cares Act project.

ADRC State Advisory Committee meeting this week. Will represent TFL, provide updates and report back updates from the stakeholders as it applies to TFL. Culture Change Network of Georgia hosted a "CCNG Rally" last month. This was a virtual event to "Come together for a common action or effort". Stakeholders across Ga updated progress for Person-Centered Care especially related to Dementia. Recently awarded a new grant along with GSU/CMP. Changing public policies and educating care providers caring for elders especially in nursing home settings are top priorities of grant. TFL shared updates with those in attendance.

Continuing to advance the Work Access project. Held focus group on Mental Health in the workplace, team is preparing for ATIA presentation and possible focus groups while at the conference. Colleagues and consumers continue to reach out on a regular basis with specific and complex challenges. Martha, Dee Dee, and I were able to virtually meet and assist a family caring for their mom with resources and AT suggestions.

  • Interactive AT Lab Updated "wish list” to enhance the Aging Well section of AT Lab specifically addressing the needs of people living with Dementia/Alzheimer's. Goals are to have AT for Aging Well easily accessible, labeled, and showcased, then create a video with Raminta to highlight a virtual tour of this area to share with network partners, consumers, and website.

    • Updates: Continuing to stay connected with DAS as we await the extension for the Cares Act project.

ADRC State Advisory Committee meeting this week. Will represent TFL, provide updates and report back updates from the stakeholders as it applies to TFL. Culture Change Network of Georgia hosted a "CCNG Rally" last month. This was a virtual event to "Come together for a common action or effort". Stakeholders across Ga updated progress for Person-Centered Care especially related to Dementia. Recently awarded a new grant along with GSU/CMP. Changing public policies and educating care providers caring for elders especially in nursing home settings are top priorities of grant. TFL shared updates with those in attendance.

Continuing to advance the Work Access project. Held focus group on Mental Health in the workplace, team is preparing for ATIA presentation and possible focus groups while at the conference. Colleagues and consumers continue to reach out on a regular basis with specific and complex challenges. Martha, Dee Dee, and I were able to virtually meet and assist a family caring for their mom with resources and AT suggestions.
